Little and Big Things

Green eggs I made for us to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with. They were not a hit for Natalie.
She wouldn't eat them and the next day she requested YELLOW eggs for breakfast.
I tried. :)
This monster of a cart can be found at our local Wal Mart and lucky for me Natalie loves riding in it and throws a fit if we don't get it. It is seriously huge and a pain to maneuver through aisles and people. The girls love it though!

3 Years Old

This little girl turned 3 on March 9th!
She was so excited for the last few weeks leading up to her birthday.
She would repeat before the day and now after "It's going to be my birthday soon!"
I cannot believe how much her language skills have grown in just the last couple months.
Her ability to construct sentences has improved and she it turning into a little kid and growing out of toddlerhood. She still loves to read stories and play with her little princess dolls more than anything else. Most of her play revolves around princesses.
She is enjoying living in the country and having a yard. She loves to throw her flip flops on and go outside. (Even though it is still pretty cold for flip flops.:)
For her birthday we had a couple of different events. For lunch that day we went to the park with a cousin and had chicken nuggets (one of her favorites). Later that evening some family over for dinner. Hamburgers and hot dogs. I made this pink cake and she opened presents.
She enjoyed her birthday but was a little disappointed that she did not get the "Cindellela and the Prince," she had been hoping for since after Christmas when she spotted one with her daddy. I felt terrible for not getting it for her and a couple of weeks later ordered her the little prince and princess. She was pleased as punch and has enjoyed playing with them every day since and I think her Birthday was finally complete.
I am so grateful for this sweet, very independent, smart, active little girl. She is one of the biggest blessings in my life and I look forward to another year with her. Love you Miss Natalie.

6-8 Months

This little girl has turned 6 months, 7 months and 8 months since I last blogged.
She has grown and changed so much over these last few months.
I had her weighed at the doctor last week and she was at 19 lbs.
She is currently wearing 9-12 month and 12-18 month clothes, just depending on the outfit. 12-18 month for pants, because she is still super long!
She has taken off with her eating, and really likes sweet potatoes and green beans.
She definitely does not like Avocado. So much for it being a baby super food!
I also discovered she seems to have a food allergy with oatmeal and possibly walnuts and oranges, so I have been avoiding these as I am still nursing her.
She learned to wave about 2 weeks ago. She just started waving at Justin at church one week.
She gets very excited when Daddy comes home from work, but is definitely Mama's girl.
For a long time she has been rolling and scooting to get around, but everything finally clicked on Saturday night and crawled to Justin for popcorn. I was at the General Women's meeting and was excited to hear this when I got home.
Her and Natalie seem to be getting along pretty well these days.
Natalie still doesn't like to share toys, but they enjoy wrestling and giggling together.
Jenna thinks Natalie is pretty cool stuff and gets excited when she sees her as well.
Jenna still doesn't sleep through the night. She has had a couple night where she has made it until 4 in the morning before she wakes up to nurse, but other than that she wakes up at least once or twice, or on bad nights a lot.
She holds back a little more than Natalie did in new and social situations, but is overall a happy baby and likes to interact with people. We are so grateful for her and glad that she has done well with the move. Happy 8 almost 9 months Babe! You are growing up too fast!
