Birthday for Beth

Our baby Beth turned one on Friday! What a blessing it has been to have her join our family and watch her grow. She is a special little
girl who has a lot of love and knows what she wants in life.

To celebrate we had a play date with cousins on Friday at the park and a spaghetti dinner with grandparents on Friday evening. To everyone’s great surprise, even Grandma Jamie and Grandpa Barry joined us for the party. They rolled in right at 6 p.m.

She loved all her gifts, but especially got a kick out of this baby doll from Grandma Lasley.

A Few Things About Beth at 1 Years Old
Beth loves Mom the most,  but gets excited to
see Daddy at the end of each day and enjoys playing with her sisters. She loves being outside and has started to enjoy the swing. Sometimes she sleeps through the night and some nights are still pretty rough.  She loves to eat and is insistent on feeding herself. Her favorite food is probably spaghetti and ice cream. She walk along furniture and has attempted steps on her own. She is a snuggle bug and is still rocked to sleep. She wears 12-18 month and some 18-24 month clothes. She loves being read to and singing “If Your Happy and You Know It.”  We are grateful to have her in our family and look forward to watching her continue to learn and grow.

Easter Weekend

We had a really nice Easter Weekend. The weather was beautiful on Friday and we soaked in the sunshine. Our friends had an out door dinner and egg hunt that evening. It was nice to sit and visit with the adults and the girls had a fabulous time playing with friends and hunting Easter eggs.

Saturday was a rainy day and the girls spent a lot of time with dad while I cleaned the accountants office and ran errands. They got to search for their Eater basket and found it in the top of the tree house. Jenna was pleased with the new pair of flip flops for the summer and Natalie got the kick stand for her bike. She figured out how to ride a bike during Spring Break and looks forward to practicing everyday after school.

Sunday we did bunny pancakes, went to church, and joined in the family Easter party in the afternoon. The girls got too much candy (mom thinks) and had a wonderful time with all the people. The week leading up to it we followed an daily devotional from the friend. It had a message about Christ and His mission and then a scripture and song. I enjoyed the peace it brought to the end of our day sitting down to share in a brief moment of the best message we have in this world. I am grateful for my Savior and that because of Him I can keep trying. I feel so inadequate most days, but He is the rock that gives me hope. Here’s to a new week and hopefully some more warm days and less wind.

Dance and Star Wars

Last weekend was full of a lot of different events. Friday night we ran over to the Meridian temple and left the girls at Aunt Mary’s. They had a good time watching a movie. Beth wasn’t as thrilled with the movie but survived. The next morning I had to work and then run home to get the girls hair ready for clogging pictures. Beth stayed with Justin and I took the older two to the dance studio. Then that afternoon we went to our library for their annual ‘Comic Con.’

These people looked awesome and were very convincing in their roles to my girls. Jenna didn’t want to be in the same room as them. Natalie was excited to get a picture. It was a really fun event. Different then our normal activities.

This is the children librarian, Joelle. She is so kind and my girls really love her. Beth recognized her and reached out for Joelle to hold her.

The thing Jenna liked the most that day, minus the fact she had to go in the room with the people who were dressed up.

Natalie had five or so layers of stuff on this cookie. She also was thrilled with the little BB8 painting on her face.

It all needed with spaghetti at the end of the day. That may be the only meal at my house that can make everyone happy.
Beth LOVES it.
It was a busy but fun Saturday. Justin mowed the lawn for the first time this year. Spring is here and we are excited for everything coming alive again.

One of my co-workers wrote a review of how I am doing. She was pretty excited to share it with me.

She said I mop, wash, clean and sweep well.
It is always nice to get a little pat on the back from others. I told her she is really progressing in all she is learning at school.
