Joy School Graduation

We just concluded our first year of Joy School. It was far better than anything I had envisioned and has truly brought a lot of joy into our family this year.We have become better friends with those in our group and
all of us are better for it.
Our graduation night was May 12th. Each child shared their favorite part of Joy School. One week I taught on the graduation Joy of Spontaneous Delight. Natalie got a kick out of poem we learned aboutop a girl named Mixed Up Myrtle. I helped her memorize the poem and she recited it as part of her favorite part of the year.
It was pretty fun to hear all of the children's memories.
We also enjoyed watching the children perform 'Three Billy Goats Gruff'
Natalie was the baby goat, and I am always so impressed with her theatrical skill.
She really gets into acting out her part.
We ended the evening with a nice dinner for all of the family members.
I am grateful for the promptings I followed to organize this group and grateful
for the great year we had. I had my worries before it began, but I know now it was exactly
what Natalie and I needed for the last year. I am especially grateful to the other mothers who stepped up and did more work at the end of the year as I was in my last month of pregnancy and
delivered Beth before it was all over.
